This autumn/winter its all about the boy but we're lusting after their clothes. Retro vintage inspired pieces are hitting the catwalks with classic crisp shirts, mannish trousers - slouchy or slim- and fitted boy blazers being some of the few peices  in major focus.

This week at Annie and the Mannequins we have taken inspiration from up and coming trends and put together a capsule collection based on the 'boy factor'. We are sticking to our true cutesy charm by injecting a serious dose of 'girl meets boy' appeal to our collections. We are mixing things up with lots of girly classic peices. Playful polka dots appear on blouses and look super cute with tailored boyish high waisted shorts or trousers, while girly knits in girly shades are layered with statement collar blouses and ditsy florals.

Whilst we are still loving that the sun is here (well on the odd day) this week we have put together a capsule collection packed full of wardrobe staples and on trend key peices that will see you through the rest of summer and right the way through to autumn/winter.

Hello New Season

As we mentioned in our previous post we have been busy capturing A/W looks for the ongoing ASOS look competition. With new influences from Chanel, Stella McCartneys and Tommy hilfiger we thought we would try a more masculine suit style.

We started with our vintage camel tailored tapered trouser, added a classic white shirt with an Annie and the Mannequins signature peak collar teamed with a tailored blazer layered over a black chiffon kimono (worn upside down for better draping). We finished of the look with a skinny necktie and brooch with tassel detailing.

After browsing all our pictures we have decided that this is the outfit we are going to enter into the competition. Now we just have to pick the picture. Yikes. We've narrowed it down to the 4 pictures above. Which ones your fav?
